Dear Family and Friends,
I am BEYOND excited to tell you that I have been preparing for my trip to the Philippines! My heart is there and I wish that Chris and the kids could go with me this time, but right now is not a good time because of Chris’ work. I am so thankful that he has given me full support to join my parents in February to help my Aunt and her ministry, Philippine Gospel Association!
I haven’t been back to the Philippines since 2001 when I met Chris, so I am excited! At the end of January, I will be taking my licensure test to be an EMT. I am hoping to pass so that I can fully participate in the medical care aspect of the patients under supervision of my Aunt and other medical doctors! I can say that this truly excites me the most! I used to teach the kids Bible stories or hand out medicine to the patients in the pharmacy area, although, I love doing those things, this will make it so much more special to me…FINALLY, getting to do some of the things that I HAVE been dreaming about for years!!!
A tidbit of What Philippine Gospel Association does:
The ministry goes to different areas of the Philippines to provide medical care for the people. Sometimes, the team travels by a motor-boat to reach the different islands of the Philippines. First, the Gospel is shared, then the patients see the doctors and/or dentists, then they get their medicines, then they get prayed for! Meeting the Spiritual need first, THEN Physical need.

As I prepare for this trip, there are a few things I would like you to partner with me in prayer for:
-Pray that my renewed passport comes quickly
-We are in the process of planning a fundraising concert at a local high school here in Rockland, ME, so please pray that the Principal of the school will let us use the facilities. This is set for January 11th-details will be revealed as soon as I hear back from the Principal
-Please pray that God will help me continue to study well and pass my exams. I have a couple of clinicals to do as well as take a practical and written exam to be licensed as an EMT
-PRAY that God would already open the hearts of the people in the Philippines…yes, they are suffering phyically, but they are in NEED of the Lord-THIS should be my first request!
-I know that God will provide for all, but please pray that God will help the funds come in for this trip!
